Journal of Islamic Microfinance and MSMEs (JIMM) is a peer-reviewed, open access journal published by The Indonesian Academy of Social & Religious Research (IASRR). JIMM publishes original research on Islamic microfinance and the development of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) from a sharia perspective. It welcomes empirical, conceptual, and policy-oriented studies from Indonesia and from other Muslim-majority and Muslim-minority countries.

The journal covers Islamic microfinance institutions (Baitul Maal wat Tamwil, sharia cooperatives, and Islamic rural banks), sharia-compliant financing and fintech for MSMEs, productive zakat, waqf, and Islamic social finance for enterprise empowerment, Islamic financial literacy and inclusion, halal certification and the competitiveness of halal MSMEs, Muslim entrepreneurship including pesantren-based enterprises, and public policy and regulation of Islamic microfinance.

JIMM is published twice a year, in June and December, in English. Every submission is assessed through a double-blind peer review by at least two independent reviewers. All articles are freely accessible upon publication under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0), and the journal follows the publication ethics guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
